Three arrested for manhandling bank staff, stone pelting, opening fire

Gangyal Police arrested three persons for manhandling bank staff, stone pelting and opening fire.
As per police sources, a recovery team from Regional Office J&K Grameen Bank Jammu along with officials of Branch Office Kaluchak visited the house of Amir Khan, son of Hussain Mohammad of Langer Kunjwani for recovery of outstanding loan amount.
The bank officials requested defaulter Amir Khan to repay the outstanding loan amount but he refused to make outstanding payment.
Meanwhile, Parveez Khan, son of Choudhary Hussain Ali intervened in the matter and used abusive language and started manhandling the bank staff. He also called his associates on spot and one of which namely Javid Khan, son of Hussain Ali alias Goli shot rounds from pistol. They also pelted stones due to which the bank recovery vehicle suffered damages. However, no human injury was reported in firing and stone pelting.
On getting information, police team led by SP South Mamta Sharma along with SDPO South Sachit Sharma and SHO Gangyal Inspector Joginder Singh Chib immediately rushed to the spot and arrested Amir Khan, Parveez Khan and Javid Khan. The weapon of offence has also been seized.
However, a case under FIR Number 80/2022 under Sections 307, 342, 427, 148 and 149 IPC and 3/25 Arms Act has been registered against the arrested persons at Police Station Gangyal and investigation started.
